To celebrate this turning point and to preserve it, we have designed and letterpress printed the President’s words in a special limited edition of 550 copies. The text is accompanied by two photographs of President Obama by official White House photographer Pete Souza and two vignettes hand cut by master engraver John Wallace. Each copy is individually numbered and is available in three bindings: Half brown moroccan leather and blue paste-paper in a clamshell presentation box, half-cloth and blue paste-paper in a slipcase and a blue paste-paper wrapper.
A publication of President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Address delivered on January 20, 2009. This important speech presented his vision for the future and his road map for getting there. Over the past twenty-four years, Thornwillow publications have often marked milestones and the volumes have in retrospect become time capsules for our times. At Thornwillow, we believe that President Obama’s speech is such a moment in history, that it will be looked back on as a defining moment for our country.
