These albums are handbound in leather and handmade paste paper using traditional binding techniques. The spine has five raised bands with gold tooling. The pages are heavy weight archival vellum stock. The top edge is gilt. There is a tab separating each page to space the album to allow room for the tipping in of photos and other scrapbook items without causing the book to bulge. The hand-craftsmanship employs traditional 18th century binding techniques.
