The Seven Towers of Wonder is a collection of myths and fairy tales gathered from around the world that explore the seven virtues of Courage, Hope, Justice, Faith, Wisdom, Temperance, and Love. Together they show a commonality of values across cultures over centuries. The edition is printed letterpress on heavy archival stock and presented in seven volumes each in sewn bindings with letterpress printed paper wrappers. It was a tour de force project for the press that took ten years to complete.
Gathered from around the world and brilliantly retold by celebrated writer, teacher, and collector of stories Bill Gordh, these stories are for both children and adults who are inspired by the ancient stories that are at the root of our collective values and identity.
The edition is beautifully and copiously illustrated by renowned artist John Hutton who has illustrated a number of Thornwillow titles over the years including: Alphababel, The Walrus and the Carpenter, A Visit from St. Nicholas, and Cinderella. The Seven Towers series breathes new magic into classic stories.
