Protocol
In this stark and moving account of catastrophic loss, Thornwillow Patrons’ Prize winner Amy Evans reflects on the challenges of growing up a “first-generation integrationist” and the moment her life “went from full color to black and white”. Now, more than ever, the world needs this story, and we are proud and honored to share her work.
The Thornwillow Patron's Prize is made possible with the collaboration of the New York Foundation for the Arts and the support of subscribers to the Thornwillow Dispatch, Patrons’ Edition. Patron Subscribers receive two copies of each new Dispatch publication, including the Classic Edition in letterpress paper wrapper, as well as the Patrons Edition, which is individually numbered and signed. In recognition of their vital support, Patron Subscribers are credited on the Patron Register accompanying each copy of the prize-winning work.
